Unfortunately, they're recognized in the marketplace near the site by a particularly greedy traveling merchant who decides this is an excellent time to take up treasure-hunting. He orders his son Hiro, a student of the ancient Shaolin martial arts, to follow Gina and Ryan into the ruins and "borrow" the treasure they find. Hiro reluctantly obeys, torn between the tradition of honoring and obeying one's father and the shame of stealing.
