In the far future, the Galactic Alliance and the Drule Supremacy are locked in an interstellar cold war. The discovery of an ancient war machine on a distant planet was supposed to tip the balance…but now the 5 explorers who found it have sworn allegiance to Planet Arus and Princess Allura, and to Voltron, the amazing robotic titan. But when the Galactic Alliance first raids Arus and steals Voltron, then tries to replicate him in the formidable form of Vehicle Voltron - the 5 members of the Voltron Force: Keith, Sven, Lance, Hunk, and Pidge have no choice but to return to Earth and reclaim what is theirs. All the while Prince Lotor of the Drule Supremacy plots to take Voltron for his own insidious plans.

Five misfit explorers are sent to Arus to find Voltron, a legendary mechanical warrior split into five robot lions by an ancient curse. Once they reach Arus, they soon discover that there is more to the legend than they had believed as they find themselves under attack from the dreaded Drule Empire. Now it's up to Keith, Lance, Sven, Hunk, Pidge, and their new ally, Princess Allura to unearth the secrets of Voltron before it's too late.

Featuring two animated adapted versions of the comics within the DVD. Version 1 will show you the word/dialog balloons on screen (like the comics) as the dialog is spoken and the action takes place (a unique read-along tool for kids). Version 2 will show all of the film but have the word balloons removed - allowing you to see more of the action - view up to 20% more of the actual images that were originally created for the comics but hidden by the word balloons until now.
